The Milito’s AC Inspection Process
- Technicians begin by discussing all A/C symptoms with you to better understand what’s happening with your vehicle.
- Milito’s technicians will then visually inspect the A/C compressor drive belt, serpentine belt, and all accessible components for cracks, leaks, and damage.
- They’ll check the operation of the A/C compressor and flush the refrigerant from the system, test it, and recharge the A/C system using the appropriate coolant specified by the vehicle manufacturer.
- Then provide you, our customer, with a detailed assessment of the problem and do our best to minimize the repair costs, getting you back on the road in comfort.

Milito’s Provides R1234yf Refrigerant Service for Newer Vehicles
If you have the newer R1234yf air conditioning refrigerant in your vehicle, Milito’s can service it for less!
As of 2022, all vehicles are required to use R1234yf refrigerant for the A/C system, but since it has been phased in over the past 10 years, nearly 50 Million cars today require it.
The change was made by the EPA because R1234yf lasts only 11 days in the atmosphere compared to 13 years for the old R134a version.
We are an ASE Certified Refrigerant Recovery and Recycling repair shop, with mechanics trained and tested on the updated requirements for eco-friendly vehicle A/C repair on the updated version of the refrigerant.
If yours is one of them, Milito’s Auto Repair in Chicago can provide the required service for about half the price of a dealer.
